India vs West Indies 2nd Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal reacted to his unfortunate run-out dismissal on the second day of the India vs West Indies 2nd Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday. Jaiswal missed out on his double century as he was dismissed on 175.
Jaiswal's batting masterclass came to an end in the first session of the second day due to his horrible mix-up with skipper Shubman Gill as he managed to add just two runs to his overnight score of 173. The instance took place in the 92nd over of India's first innings as Jaiswal hit Jayden Seales towards mid-off and sat for a run with Gill hardly moving his way.
The star opener was more than halfway down when he turned to go back, but was way short of his crease. "It's (his run-out) part of the game, so it's fine," Jaiswal said at the end of the second day's play.

Notably, Jaiswal had hit his seventh Test century and converted it to a score of over 150 for the fifth time. On his knack of scoring marathon centuries, the Southpaw said, "I always try to play as long as I can. If I'm there, I should just take the game forward and play as long as I can."
"There is always a thought that what I can achieve and what can be my goal and my team's goal, I just try and be in the game and make sure if I'm in, I should take it long," he added.

The left-handed batter went on to mention how he had to deal with the movement from the bowlers early on before cashing in on the opportunities. "I was trying to get in, so there was a bit of movement, but when I was in the middle, I was thinking that maybe I'll bat for one hour and then it will be easy for me to score," he said.
While Jaiswal has already established himself as an upcoming star for India, especially in Test cricket, when it comes to contributing in the coming years, former batter Mohammad Kaif acknowledged the youngster's incredible potential.
In a recent Tweet, Kaif stated, "Yashasvi Jaiswal is a batsman with the patience to score big hundreds and set new marks. In his first 26 matches, his numbers are as good as Sachin's and Virat's. Scoring at a high strike rate, his hundreds mostly put India on the path to victory. Sehwag ka 300 wala record, Jaiswal hi todega."
Meanwhile, India took the upper hand in the ongoing Test as they reduced the West Indies to 140/4 in their first innings on the back of Ravindra Jadeja's three wickets. The visitors still trail by 378 runs.
