New Delhi | Jagran Sports Desk: Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Wednesday became the first Indian players in T20Is and third player overall after he scored six runs in the third T20I held at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Wednesday. The 31-year-old reached the milestone by hitting a six off Hayden Walsh. Kohli went on to score unbeaten 70 runs off just 29 deliveries that included seven sixes and four boundaries.

Other players who have scored 1000 or more runs on their turf include new Zealand opener Martin Guptill (1430) and Colin Munro (1000).

In the match, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl after which team India had a fiery start as KL Rahul (91) and Rohit Sharma (71) added 135 runs for the opening wicket. Team India ended up scoring 240/3 in the stipulated 20 overs. For West Indies, skipper Kieron Pollard, Sheldon Cottrell and Kesrick Williams scalped one-wicket each. 

In reply, West Indies could only manage 173 runs for the loss of eight wickets on the scorecard. As a result, they ended up losing the match by 67 runs and series 2-1. Pollard was the top scorer with 69 runs while Shimron Hetmyer scored 41 runs. Shami was the pick of the bowlers for team India, he ended up with the figures of 4-0-25-2.

In the previous match, Kohli had hammered his highest T20I score of unbeaten 94 runs to help men in blue chase a mammoth total of 208 runs. In the final contest, India made two changes: Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal were replaced by Mohammad Shami and Kuldeep Yadav.
