Ahead of the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 edition, players from all franchises are giving their all in the training and practice sessions. With the start of IPL on March 22, the wait for MS Dhoni's return to action will come to an end as the legendary wicketkeeper will lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The defending champions CSK bagged their record-equalling fifth title last year to match Mumbai Indians' feat. CSK defeated Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans in a last-ball thriller to give a perfect end to their season in the summit clash.

Amid the speculations of Dhoni's final IPL season, the veteran batter is sweating hard on the field in CSK's pre-season camp in Chennai to hone his skills ahead of the marquee tournament.

In the latest picture posted on CSK's official social media accounts, Dhoni was spotted wearing a bandana look in the training session on his long hair. In this season, Dhoni has returned with long hair which he used to keep during his early days in international cricket.

Dhoni was seen donning a red bandana and was looking super cool with it. CSK captioned the post, "Bandanas just got a lot cooler!"

Dhoni is among the most successful captains in the cash-rich league. He is one of the only players who have featured in all seasons of the tournament since its inception in 2008.

In the mini-auction in December last year, CSk retained Dhoni and also bagged some new players to strengthen their squad to retain their title this season.

CSK will host Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening match of the tournament at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
