MI vs DC, IPL 2024: Jasprit Bumrah has developed an interesting habit of providing jaw-dropping moments whenever he is in action on the field with the ball in his hand.

Bumrah once again proved why he is one of the best bowlers around in the shortest format as well as he came with a magnificent yorker during the match against Delhi Capitals.

The instance took place in the 12th over when Bumrah bagged a magnificent yorker on the second delivery to dismiss Shaw.

The incredible delivery gave no time and chance to Shaw to react and open his arms despite being a set batter as he headed back to the pavilion for 66 runs in 40 balls.

Shaw provided a great start to DC's run chase despite David Warner's early wicket, smashing eight fours and three sixes as he continued his promising touch with the bat in just his second appearance of the season.

Talking about Bumrah, he ended up with brilliant bowling figures of 2/22 in his four overs in the match that saw 439 runs being scored in 40 overs.

MI ended up winning the high-scoring contest, having restricted DC to 205/8 in reply to their 234/5 in their 20 overs.

After being put into bat first, MI came up with an incredible batting performance with Rohit Sharma (49), Ishan Kishan (45) and skipper Hardik Pandya (39) making their contributions from the top order.

While Tim David remained unbeaten on 45 off 21, Romario Shepherd smashed 39 in just 10 balls on the back of his last over fireworks.

The duo added 53 runs in just 13 balls for the sixth wicket as Shepherd smashed 32 runs in the last over of the innings bowled by Anrich Nortje.

Gerald Coetzee was the pick of the bowlers for the home side as he took four wickets for 34 runs in his four overs whereas Romario ended up with a wicket as well.

While MI registered their first win of the season after three successive defeats, Romario Shepherd was adjudged as the Player of the Match.

"My hard work has paid off. I have put in a lot of hard work in the nets. I think you just have to keep a clear mind (when batting at the end). He (Tim David) said no you stay there (strike) and you hit. I was in a good position to capitalise on that ball. I tried to keep it 50-50 because I didn't want to lean on one side, so 50-50 on batting and bowling. (On where the power comes from) Eating a lot of food I guess, some of it Indian as well (smiles)," he said at the post-match presentation.
