PAK-W vs AUS-W Women's ODI World Cup 2025: Beth Mooney and Alana King had built a partnership of 106 runs off 96 balls during the women's ODI World Cup clash on Wednesday. The 106-run partnership between Mooney and King for the ninth wicket had helped script history. They are now the first batting duo to stitch a partnership of 100 runs for the ninth wicket in this format.

Ashleigh Gardner and Kim Garth earlier held the record of the highest partnership for the ninth wicket. During an ODI against South Africa last year, Gardner and Garth had stitched a partnership of 77 runs.

The earlier record for the partnership for the 9th wicket in this format was held by Kim Price and Yulandi van der Merwe. Price and Merwe had built a partnership of 66 runs for the ninth wicket against India way back in the 2000 World Cup.

Super show by Mooney

Mooney batted at the No.4 position for the seventh time in this mega event and had smashed 11 fours and scored 109 runs off 114 balls. At the same time, Alana King had scored 51 runs off 49 balls. She had smashed three fours and as many sixes in her innings.

Nashra Sandhu was the pick among the Pakistan bowlers as she had taken three wickets and had conceded 37 runs in the 10 overs that she had bowled, and Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana took two wickets along with Rameen Shamim.

The Alyssa Healy-led side was tottering at 115/8 in 33.5 overs, and that's when Mooney helped them bounce back and build a partnership of 100 runs.
