Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has joined the list of well-known sportspersons who have spoken in support of the students protesting against the exam paper leaks.
Sharing his views on X, Manjrekar described the movement as a “revolt against feeling of suppression in a democracy” and said that using force against the protesters would not solve the issue.

The students leading the protest have demanded the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They claim he failed to prevent repeated paper leaks and hold him responsible for the crisis, which they say has pushed several students to take their own lives.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a video message for students, saying that his government is taking several measures to protect the interests of young people.
The Prime Minister’s message came three days after thousands of students marched towards Parliament during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.
The march turned tense after police used lathis and tear gas to stop the protesters. Many students were injured during the action, while more than 100 police personnel were also reported injured during the clashes.
