Rohit Sharma News: In an interesting development, a video where star Indian batter Rohit Sharma can be spotted driving an all-new Tesla Model Y attracted a reaction from the company's CEO, Elon Musk. The video, which has gone viral ever since it appeared on social media, features Sharma arriving at an award show in Mumbai.
Interestingly, the video has been watched by more than a million users on X.
A user by the name Teslaconomics wrote: “This is why Tesla doesn’t need to advertise - Rohit Sharma (captain of India’s national cricket team), who has 45M followers on Instagram, just bought a new Tesla Model Y”. Musk reposted the video on his Twitter timeline.

Congratulating Rohit Sharma on the purchase, Tesla's Indian-Origin Vice-President Ashok Elluswamy, “Welcome to the Tesla family, Rohit!” Elluswany wrote on X.

As per several reports, Rohit Sharma has landed himself a Tesla Model Y, which is an electric SUV from the company. The starting on-road price for the model is at Rs 59.89 Lakh, while the highest-end model can be bought at Rs 73.89 Lakh.

Indian batter and former ODI skipper Rohit Sharma expressed his excitement for the tour to Australia and how much he loves playing against the current 50-over world champions.
Rohit was speaking during the CEAT Cricket Ratings Awards in Mumbai, where he received a memento for winning the ICC Champions Trophy as a captain.
Speaking ahead of the Australian tour, which starts on October 19 with three ODIs, the only format the 'Hitman' currently plays, Rohit said, "I love that team, I love playing with them."
