The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced Shivam Dube as Nitish Kumar Reddy's injury replacement for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England which will take place later this month.
What injury did Nitish Kumar Reddy suffered?
Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out of the white-ball tours to Ireland and England due to an aggravated left quadriceps injury. He suffered the initial setback while bowling against Afghanistan and was subsequently replaced in the squads. He was named in the ODI squad against England but it seems like the fast-bowling all-rounder is still on the road to recovery.
Shivam Dube's ODI career
Dube who is currently featuring in the T20I series against England has represented India in four ODI's where he scored 43 runs and managed to pick one wicket. Notably, the fast bowling all-rounder made his ODI debut against West Indies in 2019 and his last 50-over match outing came against Sri Lanka on August 7, 2024.
