IPL 2025: Ishan Kishan, India's star wicketkeeper-batter, has had a tough past few months but now is all set to be in action during the IPL 2025 which begins on March 22, with the match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Kishan will begin a new chapter in his IPL career as he will be playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season, having joined them for a price of INR 11.25 crore in the mega auction.
The left-handed batter previously played for Mumbai Indians but the five-time IPL champions decided to release him ahead of the mega auction.

While all teams continue to gear up for the IPL 2025, Kishan was also seen in action during SRH's camp. He was bowling off-spin to the batter during a net session and had a couple of hilarious chats with Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Chahar after he was hit for a big shot.

The Pat Cummins-led SRH will begin their campaign on March 23 with their first match scheduled against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
SRH had a memorable campaign in IPL 2024 and finished as runners up, losing the final against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, their performance and Cummins' captaincy impressed many with the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek and Klaasen playing key roles.
Talking about Kishan, the 26-year-old is currently out of the Indian team set up in all three formats. He last played for India in a T20I game at home against Australia in November 2023. He was slated to feature in the Test series on the South Africa tour in December but pulled out, citing a mental health break.

Amid heavy speculations, Kishan ended up losing a central contract with the BCCI as he went against the board's mandate for the India players of participating in domestic tournaments.
"The biggest opportunity is for Ishan Kishan. For whatever reason, he has just completely disappeared from the radar. It seems like no one is talking about him or understanding his importance. He even went and played the Ranji Trophy, and scored runs there, he is doing everything, but no one is even talking about him," the former India opener Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel while talking about this season's IPL for Ishan Kishan.
