Suryakumar Ashok Yadav, born on September 14, 1990, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a right-handed batter. Adding versatility to his game, Yadav is also adept at right-arm medium and right-arm off break bowling. Primarily recognised for his role as an explosive batter, Suryakumar Yadav has carved a niche for himself in the cricketing world.
Known for his hard-hitting and versatile batting style, Suryakumar is often compared to AB De Villiers for his '360-degree' batting style. Affectionately nicknamed SKY by his fans, Yadav represents his native city, Mumbai, in the Indian Premier League as a key player for the Mumbai Indians.

In India’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2021 Suryakumar debuted for India, alongside Ishan Kishan in the first ODI of the bilateral series. His ODI debut took place at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on July 18, 2021. Suryakumar scored unbeaten 31 in his first innings, helping India to a seven wicket win.
