Virat Kohli's form across all formats reaffirms his status as the best in the business. Following a challenging tour of England in 2014, where he amassed 135 runs in five Tests, questions arose about his technique. However, Kohli responded by diligently working on his stance, emerging even stronger and solidifying his position as one of the game's best.

Aakash Chopra, former Indian cricketer, now believes Kohli has reclaimed his spot in the renowned 'Fab 4,' pointing to the top four batters of the current generation. This elite group includes Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, and Virat Kohli, all consistent performers in red-ball cricket.

"Last but not the least, the comeback king. You go up but then fall. Everyone has to fall but the important thing is how many times someone can climb back again. He fell once in 2011-12 but then he stood up. After that, he reigned for eight to ten years. There wasn't a blip at all," Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

“The way he has made a comeback has made his story even more beautiful. It seemed like things were done and dusted, and you came and played a World Cup, and became the Player of the Tournament. You reinvented the wheel once again and reignited that passion,” he added.

Amidst Steve Smith's decline and Kane Williamson's fluctuating form, Kohli's consistent brilliance places him back among the cricketing elite. Chopra emphasised Kohli's ability to reinvent himself, describing it as a captivating aspect of his cricketing journey.

“Yours truly (Akash Chopra) also said that he is no longer part of the Fab 4. He is now, by the way. It was about the runs at that time, in that period of two years, but he is back again. Steve Smith has fallen away. Kane Williamson is also going 50-50 but this guy is still there. He was there then also and has returned now," Chopra said.
