The Indian cricket team always remain at the top of headlines, and nothing different took place in 2025, with the legendary cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni being among the trending names. However, the young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has left all the legends behind to become the most searched cricketer on Google this year.

Suryavanshi became a household name for his batting masterclass throughout the year at the age of just 14. He set the IPL 2025 on fire on the back of his impressive efforts while playing for the Rajasthan Royals. Having smashed a fiery 35-ball century during the IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi hasn't looked back, scaling new heights on the field.

The teenager is the only cricketer who features in the list of top 10 searched 'People' around the globe and is in sixth position. Interestingly, the upcoming stars like Rishabh Pant, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill also don't feature despite their continuous action on the field on multiple occasions.

Suryavanshi smashed 252 runs in the seven matches he played in the IPL 2025. He created history during the season by becoming the second-fastest centurion in IPL history. As Suryavanshi continues to impress in the domestic and age-level cricket as well, with an aim to make it to the senior Indian team, he is arguably the most talked-about young batsman in Indian cricket at the moment.

Making 2025 a memorable year for Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old also smashed a 32-ball century against the UAE for India A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup. For the unversed, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is currently in action for Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has already played multiple outstanding knocks. He is the leading run-scorer for Bihar in the tournament, having scored 186 runs in five matches so far at a strike rate of 175.47 with a century to his credit.

Suryavanshi is also set to lead India in the U19 Asia Cup later this month and will also face Pakistan U19 in the tournament.
