It wasn't meant to be for Indian Cricket Team in yet another World Cup as Pat Cummins-led Australian side won their 6th title on Sunday at the Narendra Modi stadium on Ahmedabad. Opener Travis Head, remained the star batter for Australia before bowlers restricted India to 240/10 after 50 overs.
Indian pacers did gave hope with an early burst of three quick wickets in the powerplay but could only get a single dismissal post that resulting in a six-wicket win for Australia. Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to bowl against India in the final of the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023. Both India and Australia have opted to go in with no changes in the sides that played their respective last semifinal matches against New Zealand and South Africa, respectively.
