In the second T20 International clash against Australia, Yashasvi Jaiswal exhibited his aggressive batting display, scoring an impressive 53 runs off just 25 deliveries. The Indian team secured a dominant 44-run victory against the Kangaroos, taking a 2-0 lead in the ongoing five-match series.
Following his exceptional performance, Jaiswal was awarded the Player of the Match. In an interview to Times Of India, Yashasvi Jaiswal's childhood coach, Jwala Singh, regarded him as an upgraded version of the former swashbuckling batsman Virender Sehwag.
"He's not only his version, he's the upgraded version of Virender Sehwag… Yashasvi is an upgraded version of Virender Sehwag because he plays all kinds of shots with very proper technique," TimesofIndia.com quoted Jaiswal’s childhood coach as saying.

According to Jwala, Yashasvi's technique and shot selection demonstrate an amalgamation of Sehwag's hand-eye coordination and the styles of legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly.
"Yashashvi has a knack for multiple players. If you see his square cut, he hits like Sourav Ganguly. His offside game is like Sourav Ganguly. And his pull and cut are like Virender Sehwag. He is a mixture of the two legends - Sehwag and Ganguly. He is a fearless and upgraded version of Virender Sehwag,” Jwala said.
The left-hander's innings against Australia included nine boundaries and two sixes, setting the tone for India's innings alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad as they forged a match-winning 77-run partnership for the opening wicket. Although Jaiswal departed in the sixth over, his explosive performance contributed significantly to India posting a commanding total of 235 for 4.

Jaiswal played a crucial role in India's success at the Asian Games, delivering a stellar performance with a remarkable century in just 49 balls against Nepal. His outstanding innings significantly contributed to India clinching the gold medal at the prestigious event.
With India leading the five-match series 2-0, the teams are set to face each other in the third match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday.
