Regarding the Union Budget 2026, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has lauded the Central Government and expressed her gratitude to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In a post on X, she stated, "No amount of praise for this budget is enough; it has taken care of every section of society."

CM Gupta remarked that the budget is not merely a document of figures but a concrete action plan to realize the vision of a developed India. She specifically highlighted the steps taken to promote tourism, expand infrastructure, and encourage investment as catalysts for the country's economic growth.

Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail: A 'Historic Step'

The Chief Minister described the proposed high-speed rail corridor between Delhi and Varanasi as a historic decision that will accelerate the resolution for a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India). She emphasised that this is not just a rail project, but a powerful symbol of "Speed, Progress, and Public Trust."

According to CM Gupta, this project will elevate Delhi’s connectivity to a new level.
