On Monday night, during Diwali, four major fires broke out across Delhi in the Alipur, Narela and Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar areas.

The incidents included a fire at a jute godown in Alipur and two separate fires in Narela—one at a shoe factory and another in a flat. A fourth fire occurred at a warehouse in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, where several parked vehicles were also engulfed in the flames and destroyed.

Firecrackers are suspected to have caused the blazes. According to the fire department, more than 50 fire engines were deployed to the four locations. The fires were brought under control after several hours. Police are currently investigating all the incidents.
