Of the 12 seats in the by-election, the BJP previously held nine and the AAP only three. Party leaders said that first, the formation of Rekha Gupta's government with an overwhelming majority in Delhi, and now the tsunami-like election results from Bihar, have boosted the enthusiasm of party leaders and workers.

According to political experts, in four of these 12 seats, including Sangam Vihar, Dakshin Puri, Ashok Vihar, and Vinod Nagar, as well as some others, voters of Bihar origin play an influential role. The Bihar election result is expected to create a positive atmosphere for the BJP among them.
