In a bid to tackle increasing traffic congestion and frequent jams, authorities have implemented a one-way traffic system on Rajendra Prasad Road. Vehicles will now be allowed to move only from Jaswant Singh Chowk to the Rajendra Prasad Road–Janpath Road roundabout. The change has been made with immediate effect.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-Headquarters II) Shiv Keshari Singh stated that the road had long been plagued by severe congestion, particularly during office commute hours, causing delays and affecting emergency services. The new arrangement aims to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience.

Information about the new traffic system will be published in the official gazette and displayed on notice boards at traffic and local police stations. Mandatory regulatory signboards will also be installed to inform drivers in advance.

Traffic police have urged commuters to plan their routes accordingly. Violations of the one-way rule will attract fines and legal action. Updates on traffic conditions and alternative routes are available on the traffic police website, social media platforms, and helpline numbers.
