The entrance examination for the Integrated BEd course at BRA Bihar University (BRABU) is scheduled for October 12, university officials confirmed. The deadline for online applications was recently extended, and over 4,500 students have applied for 400 seats across the university’s four colleges, resulting in more than 110 applicants per seat.
BRABU, the only university in Bihar offering a four-year Integrated BEd programme across four colleges, has been appointed as the nodal university by Raj Bhavan to conduct the combined entrance exam.
Preparations are underway, with seven to eight exam centres expected, including the University Examination Hall, LS College, RDS College, RBBM, and MDDM, among others. Final confirmation of centres will follow after the university reopens on October 6.
The four-year Integrated BEd programme includes BA BEd and BSc BEd courses, allowing students who have completed their Intermediate education to earn an undergraduate degree and a BEd degree simultaneously, saving two years compared to the separate CBCS system, where an undergraduate degree takes four years followed by a two-year BEd course.

Additionally, BRABU will host other entrance exams in the second week of October. The PhD Admission Test (PAT), previously cancelled, may be re-held on October 14, while the LLB and Pre-Law entrance exams are scheduled for October 15. Centres and other arrangements for these exams will be finalised once the university reopens.
