Similar to Thursday, the minimum temperature on Friday remained at 5.6 degrees Celsius, accompanied by light fog in the morning. The maximum temperature has also been declining over the past two days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature on Friday is expected to hover around 22 degrees Celsius. A cold wave is also forecast.
Temperatures in Delhi have been falling continuously in the very first week of December this year. In fact, the beginning of the first week of December has been the coldest in the last 15 years. On December 1, the minimum temperature dropped to 5.7 degrees Celsius. By Thursday, it fell further to 5.6 degrees Celsius and Friday witnessed the same conditions. Consequently, the mornings of Thursday and Friday were recorded as the coldest mornings in the first week of December in the last 15 years.
