Panic spread in Sector-7, Pocket D of Rohini after a three-storey building under construction was found tilting to one side. The construction of the building has been ongoing for a long time. According to observations, while the lower part of the structure appears stable, the upper floor has developed a noticeable tilt. Local residents claim that the shifting of some pillars caused the structural instability.
Immediate Administrative Action
Acting on complaints from local residents, the Municipal Corporation took immediate charge of the situation:
Work Halted: Construction work on the site has been completely stopped.
Safety Perimeter: The area has been cordoned off with security (yellow) tape, and movement around the site has been restricted to ensure public safety.
Advisory: Residents of nearby buildings have been asked to remain alert.
Structural Support: Work has begun to install supports and channels around the building to prevent it from collapsing suddenly.

Investigation And Potential Consequences
A Municipal Corporation official confirmed that a notice has been issued to the building owner.
Probe Underway: An investigation is currently being conducted to ascertain the cause of the tilt and check for regulatory compliance.
Demolition Warning: The official stated that if the investigation reveals any impropriety or violations of construction regulations, the corporation will take strict action. If deemed necessary for safety, the building could be demolished.
