Passengers travelling from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir continue to face difficulties due to heavy rain and floods, with no immediate prospect of relief. According to railway officials, both railway tracks and bridges have been damaged in several locations and are currently being repaired.
To carry out repair work on bridges near Kathua, Madhopur, Udhampur and Pathankot, 11 pairs of trains will remain cancelled until March 31, 2026.

These include the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Vande Bharat Express (22439/22440), the Jammu Tawi-Kathgodam Garibrath Express, the Kathgodam-Kanpur Central Link Garib Rath Express, the Sarai Rohilla-Jammu Tawi Duronto Express, and the Udhampur-Sarai Rohilla AC Express.
Meanwhile, the operation of the Shalimar-Malani Express, the New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Shri Shakti Express, and the Balidani Tushar Mahajan Udhampur-Pathankot DMU will also resume after this month.
Due to the cancellation of most trains, passengers travelling to Jammu and Kashmir are facing hardship. Passengers are unable to get confirmed tickets on the operational trains. Railway officials state that to alleviate the passengers' difficulties, special trains are being run intermittently.
