Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police on Saturday issued an advisory about a temporary traffic diversion and road closure on MB Road in South Delhi. Traffic will remain affected on MB road in both carriageways from Khanpur T-point towards Hamdard T-Point and vice-versa due to ongoing work of DMRC and cable laying work of BSES at the MB road, the traffic authorities said, advising commuters to avoid the stretch and plan their journey accordingly.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation also issued an statement on the traffic disruption in a post on X.

"There will be a temporary traffic diversion & road closure on MB Road from Khanpur T-Point to Hamdard Red Light, Sangam Vihar due to metro construction work tonight (i.e Saturday, 7th February 2026) from 11 pm till 8 am tomorrow (i.e Sunday, 8th February 2026)," the post read.

Affected Routes In South Delhi

During the construction period, the downline (Saket to Sangam Vihar) traffic will be diverted at Khanpur T Point towards Chirag Delhi, and the upline (Sangam Vihar to Saket) traffic will be diverted from Hamdard Red light towards Ravi Das Marg-Tara Apartment-Govindpuri. The DMRC shared a map for reference in its X post.

Time: From 11:00 PM, 07.02.2026 To 8:00 AM, 08.02.2026

Delhi Traffic Advisory For Monday

In another advisory, the Delhi Traffic Police said it has made special traffic arrangements in connection with an official function at Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Sthal, Rajghat, on February 9, 2026.

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Affected Route:

  • Diversions likely at ITO Chowk, Delhi Gate, Guru Nanak Chowk, Shanti Van Chowk and IP Flyover
  • Regulation may apply on BSZ Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Nishad Raj Marg and nearby stretches
  • Surrounding roads may also be affected-Commuters towards New Delhi Railway Station/New Delhi District should plan in advance
