Former Congress leader Sajjan Kumar was acquitted in the Janakpuri-Vikaspuri violence case related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots on Thursday. The verdict was delivered by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. Victims’ Families Express Grief And Anger

However, the decision has come as a major blow to the victims' families. Upon hearing the court's verdict, Bagi Kaur, a member of a victim's family, broke down in tears. Following this verdict, Bagi Kaur, a member of a victim's family, became emotional and said through tears that she has not received justice to this day. Crying, she said, "We have not received justice to this day. When will we get justice?" She said, "We have not received justice to this day."

Allegations And Vow To Appeal In Higher Courts

She stated that 10 members of her family were killed and that they will appeal to the High Court and the Supreme Court. Crying outside the court, Bagi Kaur said that 10 members of our family were killed and the accused, Sajjan Kumar, has been acquitted. She stated, "Sajjan Kumar had Sikhs killed in front of us, yet he has been acquitted." Bagi Kaur asked, "If Sajjan Kumar was not guilty, then why was he imprisoned?" Bagi Kaur, a member of a family of victims of the anti-Sikh riots, says, "I have lost 10 members of my family. Why was Sajjan Kumar not hanged? We will go to the High Court and the Supreme Court."
