Longest Serving Chief Minister of Bihar: The current Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, is the longest-serving Chief Minister of Bihar. The leader of Janata Dal (United) his a cumulative tenure of more than 18 years and 90 days, surpassing all previous records held in the state. The man has been known to dominate Bihar's political landscape ever since his first stint in March 2000, which only lasted for 7 days. But, soon he returned as the Chief Minister of Bihar in November 2005 and has strongly maintained his position ever since, except for the short time in 2014-15, when Jitan Ram Manjhi was elected as the CM of Bihar.
