Television Invention: World Television Day is celebrated annually on November 21st, across the globe, as established by the United Nations in 1996. The day commemorates the contribution of television as a means of entertainment, communication, education, and even connecting worldwide views and cultures. Television is also greatly known as the great influence for shaping opinions, garnering worldwide knowledge and knowing other cultures for the longest time.
Television was a collaborative work of many phenomenal scientists and inventors. However, the share of credit for the early idea goes to Scottish engineer John Logie Baird. He presented the idea of transmitting moving images and demonstrated the world’s first working television system in London.

Meanwhile, American inventor Philo Farnsworth developed the first fully electronic television system, which was a stepping stone to the modern broadcasting system.

Television was officially first launched to the public during the 1930s with regular broadcasts in countries like the United Kingdom and the United States. After the decade, the black and white TV gradually updated into colour televisions and now digital and smart TVs, which are connected to the internet, are popular.
