BPSC TRE 3.0 Recruitment Exam 2024: The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has apprehended over 270 candidates in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district in relation to a suspected paper leak of the Bihar Public Service Commission's (BPSC) Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE)-3.
In a statement released by the EOU on Saturday, it was revealed that based on a tip-off, the unit's investigators conducted searches at various locations in Hazaribagh on March 14 and 15. During these searches, it was found that candidates preparing for the TRE-3 exam, who had been brought in from different parts of Bihar, were provided with question papers.
"On the day of the examination, March 15, candidates were supposed to leave at around 3 am for their respective exam centres. They all were detained and on the basis of their interrogation, officials managed to nab certain members of the gang involved in the paper leak", the statement said, as reported by the news agency PTI.
Earlier, police had arrested five individuals, who allegedly masterminded the paper leak of TRE exam recruitemnt 3. During the arrests, law enforcement seized question papers, computers, laptops, printers, and pen drives from their possession.
Subsequent investigations have revealed that the accused charged a significant fee from each candidate in exchange for providing answer sheets. The statement also mentioned that ongoing investigations are being conducted.
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) administered TRE-3 on March 15 for Primary Teachers and Middle School Teachers in offline mode. Preceding this, a total of 96,823 candidates successfully cleared the Teachers Recruitment Examination (TRE-2) conducted by the BPSC.
