CBSE Board Exam 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notification requesting observations on the question papers for the 2024 board exams. The board has asked schools to make the observation procedure more efficient. The notification stated that the board had found some issues in the input it had received and had issued a clarification notice.
On the same day of the exam, the observations must be uploaded to the Online Exam Center Management System (OECMS), as per the CBSE request. If the observations are not submitted on time, do not follow the board's guidelines, or are vague and unclear, CBSE stated that it would not respond.
"You are aware that the board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 have started. Every year, schools are requested to send their observations and issues if any to the CBSE on the question paper in OECMS,” reads the notification.
The board sent the notice after finding that schools were sending observations to multiple email accounts that weren't meant for that purpose. It further stated that the observations were delivered after a few days in an unclear and ambiguous way. The board gave an example, stating that although the question in one of the observations is incorrect, it does not specify why.

The CBSE has instructed the principals of its affiliated schools to take specific steps to improve this process, such as entering observations on OECMS, submitting the required details to qpobservation@cbseshiksha.in to address any issues, and submitting observations on test day. Moreover, the board will not take any action, according to the CBSE, if the feedback is unclear, confusing, delayed, or does not meet CBSE guidelines.
