CBSE Class 10 & 12 Practical Guidelines Board Exam 2024: On January 1, 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will begin administering the annual practical examinations, internal assessments, and project assessments for the Class 10 and 12 exams.
To ensure that practical tests, internal evaluations, and project assessments for the 2023–24 session are completed on schedule, the CBSE has released instructions to schools, students, and other stakeholders.
CBSE Board Exam 2024: Guidelines for schools
The board will choose external examiners to oversee the practical tests for Class 12. The following are additional guidelines for the schools:
- Educational institutions must guarantee that the curriculum for hands-on assessments is finished ahead of schedule.
- Schools will need to make sure that all necessary preparations, including labelling internal examiners and setting up and stocking laboratories, are completed on time.
- For parents and students to take the necessary action on their end, schools must make sure that everyone is aware of the date sheet for the practical examinations.
- The online system should be consulted to verify that the relevant subjects and student categories (regular, department, improvement) are reflected in the list of candidates (LOC) who will be taking the practical exams from the school.
- Before the actual day of the practical tests, the institute management must make sure that a sufficient quantity of practical answer books have been delivered to the schools.
- Only the right maximum marks from the practical portion of the topic may be granted for marks in the practical examinations.
- If any of the aforementioned points are found to be lacking, the relevant regional office should be notified.
CBSE Board Exam 2024: Guidelines for students
The following instructions have been released by the CBSE for students who will be taking the practical exams:
- Students are responsible for verifying that the schools' submitted list of candidates accurately reflects their topics of study.
- They must be informed about the themes covered in the practical exams as well as the syllabus.
- They will not be given a second opportunity to appear in the practical exams by the Board, so they must show up for the exams on time.
- Students should get in touch with their school if they have any questions or concerns about any of the aforementioned items.
CBSE Board Exam 2024: Guidelines for Regional Offices
For its regional offices, the CBSE has released the following guidelines:
- As soon as the board releases instructions for conducting Practical Examinations, the CBSE regional offices should make sure that the schools are informed.
- Their responsibility should be to guarantee that all schools finish the practical exams on time and upload the results.
- The regional offices should make sure that, in all cases, external examiners are assigned in all schools before the start of practical exams in classes and subjects.
- The offices are responsible for making sure the school receives the practical answer books before the start of the practical exams.
