CLAT 2024 Exam: The Consortium of National Law Universities will hold the CLAT 2023 exam on December 3, 2023. The common law admission test will be conducted in offline mode from 2 pm to 4 pm. Recently, the CLAT admit card has been released. Candidates who are going to appear in the common law admission test can check their CLAT admit card at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The objective of the test is to choose students for the national law universities in India for the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs.

CLAT Undergraduate (UG) Exam Pattern

Candidates will get 120 questions for the undergraduate course. Each question will be awarded 1 mark. 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will get 2 hours to attempt the question paper.

The questions will be asked from 5 subjects including the English Language section, Current Affairs section, General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

The current affairs and legal reasoning sections will comprise approximately fifty percent of the total number of questions on the exam; these sections will each have 28–32 questions. The English language and logical reasoning sections will account for another 20–26 questions or about 20 per cent of the total. The quantitative section will have 10–14 questions, making up 10 per cent of the total.

CLAT Postgraduate (PG) Exam Pattern

Candidates will get 2 hours to attempt the question paper. There will be a total of 120 marks for the CLAT Postgraduate (PG) exam. 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Among the topics covered in the syllabus for the test are Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Torts, Family Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Environmental Law, and Labour and industrial Law.
