According to the directive, all teaching and non-teaching personnel must report for duty as routine.
Today, Delhi experienced a minimum temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius, accompanied by a dense fog covering various areas of the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that this minimum temperature was four notches below the seasonal average. The meteorological department expects very dense fog and cold wave conditions in the national capital for the next two days.

Because of the fog, the air quality in Delhi and nearby regions has become worse as well. To tackle this, the Centre instructed today that anti-pollution measures classed as Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) be implemented across Delhi-NCR immediately.
The limits imposed by GRAP Stage III prohibit the operation of stone crushers as well as all mining and associated activities in the NCR. Moreover, a strict restriction on building and demolition activity has been imposed throughout the region, with certain exceptions for specialized categories of projects.
