JE Education Desk: Delhi University (DU) will launch a registration portal for the B.Tech programmes from this academic session. According to the media reports, the BTech admission portal is expected to launch by next week. Once the registration portal is activated, candidates will be able to apply at admission.uod.ac.in.
Eligible candidates will get the opportunity to submit their applications for three-year Btech programmes via the newly introduced portal, where they will be required to choose their preferences among the three available programs. The university will allocate seats to the students based on their choices.
According to the media reports, DU is expected to commence three new BTech Programmes from the academic session of 2023 to 2024 onwards. During a press conference, DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh announced that three courses will be made available under BTech including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
The BTech Computer Science and Engineering, BTech Electronics and Communication Engineering, and BTech Electrical Engineering courses at Delhi University will commence, offering a combined total of 360 seats. The selection of students for these courses will be based on their scores in the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains).
"The process is expected to begin next week. Students will be given to fill their preferences and seats will be allotted to them. They will be given a few days to accept the seats allotted to them," Dean of Admission Haneet Gandhi as quoted by news agency PTI reporters.
