GATE 2025 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will begin the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 on August 24, 2024. The last date to apply will be September 26, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for the GATE 2025 at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
The registration window for GATE 2025 with a late fee will close on October 7. The GATE 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16. The exams will be conducted in two shifts on each of these days. The forenoon shift will start from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the afternoon shift will take place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
GATE 2025 will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) for a total of 30 test papers, all of which will be in English. Candidates can choose to appear for one or two test papers from the permitted two-paper combinations. The GATE scores obtained by candidates will remain valid for three years from the date of the results announcement.
Candidates who qualify for GATE will be eligible to apply for admission, with possible financial assistance, to master’s programs and direct doctoral programs in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities. They can also apply for doctoral programs in relevant branches of these fields at institutions supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and other government agencies.
IIT Roorkee is the organising institute for GATE 2025. The exam is jointly conducted by IISc and seven IITs: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee. It is held on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB) – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
