Kashmir School Timings Revised: Due to changing weather conditions, school timings in Kashmir have been revised. The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, has issued a notification regarding this. According to the notification, schools within the municipal limits of Srinagar will operate from 9 am to 3 pm.

For schools located in other districts and areas of Kashmir, the new timing is set from 10 am to 4 pm. According to media reports, schools outside Srinagar municipal limits and across various districts of Kashmir Division will follow the 10 am to 4 pm schedule.

Previously, government and private schools in Srinagar used to begin classes from 10 am to 3 pm daily. In institutions located outside Kashmir's 'summer capital', the timing was 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. It's worth noting that the weather has significantly improved across the valley, with daytime temperatures reaching above 22 degrees in Srinagar and as high as 24 degrees in the northern district of Kupwara. However, the weather office has forecasted light to moderate rains from April 13 to 15.

Meanwhile, schools in the valley will be closed for Eid holidays, which are expected to fall on either April 10 or 11, depending on the sighting of the moon.
