NEET 2025 Exam Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that NEET UG 2025 will be conducted on May 4, 2025, in pen-and-paper mode. The application window was open from February 7 to March 7, 2025, with corrections allowed from March 9-11. The city allotment slip will be out by April 26, followed by the admit card release on May 1.
In a significant change, the NEET 2025 exam pattern has been revised, removing optional questions and reducing the duration from 200 to 180 minutes. The total questions are now 180 (45 per section), with no change in marking scheme.
NEET 2025 Exam Pattern & Syllabus: What’s Changed?
The NTA has reverted to the pre-COVID exam structure, scrapping the 20 optional questions introduced in 2021. Here’s a quick comparison:

The NEET UG 2025 counselling process will begin in July 2025, conducted in two phases:
All India Quota (AIQ) – 15% seats (Managed by MCC)
State Quota – 85% seats (Handled by state authorities)

How to Download NEET 2025 Admit Card?
The admit card will be available at neet.nta.nic.in by May 1, 2025. Follow these steps:
Visit the official NTA NEET website.
Log in using application number & password.
Download and print the admit card.
Carry a valid ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport) to the exam center.
Note: Exam centers will not allow entry without the admit card.
NEET UG 2025 Application Process and Fee Structure
The application window for NEET UG 2025 is open from 7th February to 7th March 2025. Candidates must complete the fee payment by 7th March 2025 (11:50 PM IST). Below is the detailed fee structure for different categories:
