NEET PG Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a notification allowing registered NEET PG 2024 counselling candidates to resign from their round 1 and round 2 allotted seats, if desired. This decision was taken following grievances raised by candidates. The resignation process will remain open until 6 PM on December 26, 2024.

The MCC has also outlined specific guidelines for candidates who wish to resign from their seats:

- Resignation by Round-2 Allottees: Candidates who were allotted seats in round 2 and joined them but now wish to resign can do so within the stipulated time. However, the security deposit will be forfeited.

- Resignation by Upgraded Candidates: Candidates who were upgraded in round 2, joined their upgraded seats, and now want to resign can vacate the seat within the resignation deadline of December 26, with forfeiture of the security deposit.

- Physical Reporting Requirement: Candidates must physically report to the allotted college to resign their seat. They must also ensure that their MCC NEET PG resignation letter is generated online via the official MCC portal.

The MCC emphasised that resignations without the online-generated resignation letter will be deemed invalid and treated as "null and void."

Moreover, the MCC has directed all participating PG institutes to contribute seats for NEET PG round 3 counselling. Seats left vacant after round 2 due to non-reporting, cancellation, or resignation by candidates must be made available for round 3.
