CTET Exam Date 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the revised exam dates for the CTET September session 2026. As per the schedule, the exam will now be held on December 12 and 13, 2026. Candidates can download the official notice with details on the exam schedule, admit card release date, exam pattern, and more. 

Earlier, the exam was scheduled for September 6, 2026, but was postponed following the Supreme Court directives. The registration portal reopened, allowing eligible candidates to apply for the revised exam. The application window ran from August 25 to September 1, 2026.

CTET 2026 On September 12 And 13

The 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 for the September session is scheduled for December 12 and 13. Candidates who have registered for the exam can check the revised exam schedule from the official CBSE website at ctet.nic.in. On both days, the test will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode. There will be separate papers for candidates applying for teaching positions at different school levels. Candidates willing to teach classes 1 to 5 have to appear for Paper 1, while Paper 2 is intended for those seeking eligibility for Classes 6 to 8. 

CBSE CTET Exam City Slip 2026

CTET exam city slip 2026 will be released 15 days before the scheduled exam date. Once out, candidates can download it from the official portal using their registration credentials. The exam city slip will have details of the allotted exam city. This will help candidates to manage their travel and accommodation in advance for the exam day. 

CBSE CTET Admit Card 2026

Candidates must not confuse the exam city slip with the admit card. The Board will release the CTET admit cards separately after the release of the city slip. Expected a week before the exam date, the download link will be active on ctet.nic.in. Using their registration number and password, candidates can access their hall tickets from the official portal. A printed copy of the e-admit card along with a government-issued ID is mandatory on all exam days for verification.
