Noida School Holiday: Winter Break Extended for Two Days Due to Heavy Fog, Schools May Re-Open on 19 January 2026

Noida Winter School Holiday: Due to the severe weather and cold wave conditions in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the administration has ordered all schools up to the 8th class to remain closed on January 16 and 17, 2026. The order applies to schools affiliated with the CBSE, ICSE, IB, UP Board, and all other boards. 

This decision has been taken in compliance with the District Magistrate to protect children from the severe weather and fog conditions. Any school found open during this period will have to face strict actions by the authorities. However, staff members and teachers will have to go to schools as per the usual schedule. 

Noida School Winter Vacation Has Been Extended Earlier Also

In view of the severe weather conditions in the region, the education department has earlier extended the winter vacation till 15 January 2026. But since the weather conditions worsened, the authorities have to close schools for two more days. The administration has requested parents to ensure that their children remain indoors and take all necessary precautions against the cold UP weather.
