RRB Technician Recruitment: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have stated that the application window for Technician positions will resume on October 2nd and expire on October 16, 2024. During this period, fresh applicants will be able to apply for the test, while existing applicants will be able to revise their preferences and make revisions to their application forms.
Before reopening the application window, RRBs sent a notification on their official websites with important advice for both new and existing candidates. Here are some key items to remember:
- Those who have applied to any one or more categories and paid the required fees will be considered existing candidates. They can use the window without paying any extra fees. These candidates have the option of applying for existing or newly introduced categories, as well as modifying previously selected categories.
- Existing applicants will only be able to modify educational qualifications, re-upload pictures and signatures, and change RRB and post choices.
- Existing candidates are not required to submit new applications.
- Fresh applicants are those who previously submitted applications but did not pay the money, as well as those who applied and paid the fee for the category 1 (Technician Grade 1 Signal) post but did not apply for the Technician Grade 3 position. Applicants who registered for other RRB recruitment drive this year other than the Technician under CEN 02/2024, as well as those who did not apply for any RRB recruitment drive this year, are considered fresh candidates.
- During the reopened application window, fresh applicants can apply for Technician positions in categories 2–40.
Aspirants can modify their application forms from October 17-21 for ₹250 for each revision. Fresh applicants can edit their forms by the conditions outlined in the employment notification. Existing applicants will have restricted access to the edit window, which includes educational qualifications, zone and position preferences, a photo, and a signature.
The application cost for the RRB Technician job is ₹250 for SC/ST, Female, Transgender, and EWS candidates and ₹500 for all other candidates.
