School Holidays November 2025: October was full of festivals from Diwali to Chhath Puja and in West Bengal all the schools are closed today on October 31, 2025 for the celebration of the Jagadharti Puja. There are some important celebrations in the month of November- Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, Children's Day, and other events. On these occasions the schools will remain closed in most of the states of India.

November 2025 has fewer school holidays as compared to October 2025. Outside of major cultural and regional events, most schools will continue regular classes. Due to cyclone Montha, several state schools have been closed till today, further updates will be announced accordingly. Here’s a quick look at the major school holidays taking place in November 2025 across several states of India including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Gujarat, and Delhi.

The Andhra Pradesh state government has also extended the school holidays amid continuous heavy rainfall and due to cyclone Montha. This decision was taken after several districts in the state experienced inclement weather over the past few days.

Cyclone Montha is disturbing daily life in many of the Indian states. The sea is becoming turbulent. The government of Telangana has ordered the closures of schools till October 30, 2025. This has raised concerns about school safety and functioning.

 All the schools and educational institutes will remain closed today on October 31, 2025 in West Bengal due to Cyclone ‘Montha’ and Jagadhatri Puja. This festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy in the state.  

Schools in several districts in Odisha have been ordered to remain closed till October 31, 2025 due to heavy rain and cyclone Montha.
