School Closed News: Due to the heavy rainfall in Balangir District and the IMD's issued heavy rainfall alert, the Collector and District Magistrate have announced the closure of both government and private schools, as well as Anganwadis, for today, August 2.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday stated that heavy rainfall is predicted in various parts of Odisha for the next two days, and the department has also issued an advisory cautioning fishermen not to venture into the sea.
"Several districts are likely to receive extremely heavy rainfall in the next 2 days. In the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall is likely in North Odisha districts and other districts. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea," said IMD scientist HR Biswas as quoted by news agency ANI.
