Common Admission Test 2025: The CAT (Common Admission Test) 2025 will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode on November 30, 2025. The online registration process for the CAT is currently open and will conclude on September 13, 2025. Those candidates can apply by visiting the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The Common Admission Test consists of 68 questions across three sections: Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA), students have to attempt each and every question in the sections. 

Top Ways to Crack CAT 2025:

1. Understand Exam Format: When students solve many practice papers or sample papers they get an idea of how the actual question paper will look like. The students must first go through the patterns and understand the examination pattern. The Common Admission Test (CAT) has a total of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). Being familiar with the exam format helps you manage time appropriately.

2. Work on your basics: The students are advised to build their basics first, work on their fundamentals of the Common Admission Test (CAT). Before attempting full-length question papers, students must understand the basics. For QA, revising core concepts in number systems is crucial. In VARC, improving reading comprehension is the key to crack CAT. For DILR, solving a variety of logic puzzles is important. 

3. Plan your preps in phrases: When you plan your preparation in phrases, it works best for you. You must start with basic, understand concept building and start your preparation section-wise. Once you are done with the basic concepts and fundamentals, start practicising full-length mock tests, sample papers and revision. Also, you have to be very careful while attempting the question paper because there will be negative marking in the Multiple Choice Questions. Over time, develop your own strategy.

6. Attempt full mock tests: when you take full-length mock papers under exam-like situations. Initially, start with one mock test a week then gradually increase the numbers. This will help to analyse your errors and mistakes, time management issues and how you approach the question paper. Selecting which question to pick first is also a task.

7. Develop a habit of Reading: Students must develop a habit of reading daily which is essential for the Common Admission Test (CAT). Start reading content related to opinions, editorials, business sections and long-form articles. This will improve your understanding and analysing abilities.

8. Weekly Revision is a must: Students must set goals for weekly revisions. Even the strongest concepts and understanding fades, when you don’t revise on a regular basis. Create a weekly revision routine and mention all the important concepts in the sheet. This will help you to stay updated with the exam related concepts.

9.  Stay dedicated and consistent: When you are preparing for the Common Admission test (CAT), consistency and dedication is important. You must build a daily routing for study sessions to keep your preparation and distractions in check. As accountability helps sustain encouragement over a long period of time.

10. Take care of yourself: Lastly, it is crucial to take care of yourself and your health. Start taking a balanced diet filled with nutrients, minerals and vitamins. Get an adequate amount of sleep and start doing meditation to maintain peace. A healthy body supports a sharp mind.
