In the UGC NET 2025 examination, a total of 150 questions were presented, encompassing both papers 1 and 2. The UGC NET 2025 exam does not implement negative marking. Candidates receive points for correct responses, while no penalties are applied for incorrect answers.

NTA started the UGC NET 2025 June 26 Shift 1 at 9 AM. It will be over at 12 PM. 

The NTA successfully conducted Shift 2 of the UGC NET 2025 June session exam today.

1. Mandatory Documents to Carry:,

   • Printed copy of the NTA UGC NET Admit Card.,

   • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the application form).,

   • One original, valid, and non-expired photo ID proof (PAN Card/Driving License/Passport/Aadhaar Card with photo).,

2. Adherence to Guidelines:,

3. Reporting Time:,

   • Reach the exam centre at least 2 hours before the scheduled time.,

• General Awareness: Nuclear disaster chronology – Chernobyl, Fukushima, etc.,

• ICT Section: Device-based question on connecting multiple computers (e.g., hub/switch),

• No new or unfamiliar concepts were introduced in the paper,

Students' Reactions:
Students who appeared for Paper 1 found the exam moderate in difficulty, with a few lengthy and time-consuming questions. Topics like Bloom’s Taxonomy, Environment Day, and movie-based current affairs made the paper more diverse and dynamic.

Experts'Analysis:

Experts also rated the paper moderate, stating it followed the standard UGC NET pattern. No surprises were seen in question types, and the section-wise weightage remained balanced, especially in teaching aptitude, ICT, and comprehension. Overall, a fair paper for well-prepared candidates.

As per the students' feedback, more Questions asked in paper 1 are from Data Interpretation (DI), Research topics.

UGC NET 2025 Paper 2 for Public Administration was rated moderate by students. No surprise or new-type questions were reported; most questions were from expected topics, making it a balanced and predictable paper.

• UGC NET 2025 Paper 1 (Shift 1) was rated moderate, with a few lengthy questions, according to student feedback.
• Current affairs included questions on Environment Day, a movie-related question, and Bloom’s Taxonomy.

Below is the detailed structure of UGC NET Paper 1, which is common for all candidates. The paper consists of 50 multiple choice questions, with 5 questions from each of the 10 subjects, carrying 2 marks each, totaling 100 marks.,
