UGC NET June 2024: The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) application deadline has been extended by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to May 15, up until 11:59 p.m. On the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, candidates who are yet to register for the exam can fill out the UGC NET application form 2024 for the June session.
NTA has extended the deadline for registering as well as the deadline for paying fees. Applicants who have successfully registered may pay the application cost between May 16 and May 17.
Due to the extension of the registration deadline, NTA has updated the UGC NET June 2024 application correction dates. Now, from May 18 to May 20, the rectification window will be open.
“The National Testing Agency (NTA) receives various representations from the candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC– NET June 2024,” said NTA in an official notice.
In three categories—awarding Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs), appointment as assistant professors, and admission to PhD programs only at Indian institutions and colleges—UGC NET June 2024 will take place on June 18.
Prior to this, the exam agency had planned the entrance exam for June 16, but it was postponed. The computer-based Test (CBT) mode of the test will be replaced by an offline OMR-based mode, according to an announcement made by NTA.
Jawaharlal Nehru University recently declared that effective with the 2019 academic session, it will be using UGC NET scores for PhD admissions rather than the National Testing Agency's (NTA) JNUEE entrance exam.
