The UGC NET phase 2 exam 2023 for the December session begins tomorrow, December 11. The exam will be held in two shifts, including the first shift, which will start at 9 am and conclude at noon, while the second shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. Candidates who are going to appear for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test can download their UGC NET admit card at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
In order to download the UGC NET admit card for the December session, candidates will have to enter their registration number and date of birth on the portal. Candidates must bring the UGC NET admit card along with valid ID proof on the day of the examination. Candidates who fail to bring the UGC NET hall ticket will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
According to the schedule, the UGC NET December 2023 phase 2 exams are scheduled to be held on December 11, 12, 13, and 14, 2023. The phase 2 exam will cover a total of 41 subjects. The exam contains two papers, including Paper 1 and Paper 2. There are 50 objective-based questions in Paper 1, and 100 objective-based questions in Paper 2. Candidates will have three hours to attempt the question paper.

UGC NET Phase 2 December Exam Guidelines
- Candidates must bring the UGC NET admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking), which can be downloaded from the NTA website and printed clearly on A4-sized paper.
- One passport-sized photo (the same one that was uploaded on the online application form) must be pasted in the specified area on the attendance sheet at the testing center when the examination is taking place
- Candidates can also bring a simple, transparent ballpoint pen.
- In order to finish the registration and frisking processes well in prior of the exam begins, candidates must attend the testing venue two hours prior.
- In the examination hall or room, candidates are not permitted to bring any of the following: instruments, a geometry or pencil box, a handbag, a purse, any type of paper, stationery, or textual material (printed or written); loose or packaged food; mobile phones; earphones; microphones; pagers; calculators; Docu Pens; slide rules; cameras; tape recorders; electronic watches with calculator features; or any metallic objects. The examination room/hall is a strictly no-smoking/gutka-chewing/spitting area.
