UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, has issued the guidelines for UP NEET UG Counselling 2024. The norms and fee information for medical candidates seeking admission to various medical colleges based on their NEET UG 2024 scores have also been announced. However, the UP NEET UG counselling dates 2024 have not yet been announced. Once the registration dates are announced, candidates can apply online at dgmeup.gov.in, or upneet.gov.in.
The NEET-UG 2024 merit list will be used for 85 per cent of the state quota seats in government medical colleges and 100 per cent of MBBS and BDS seats in private medical colleges. Only candidates who have successfully qualified in the medical entrance test will be eligible to participate in the UP NEET UG 2024 counselling process for MBBS and BDS admissions. Those seeking admission to private medical or dental colleges should gather complete information about the respective institutions before counselling and choice filling to avoid any discrepancies after seat allotment.
UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: Domicile Eligibility
- To acquire admission to government medical, dental colleges, universities, or institutions in Uttar Pradesh, the candidate must be a native of the state. Candidates who have completed both high school (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) education in Uttar Pradesh will not need to submit a domicile or usual residency certificate.
- A domicile or usual residency certificate is required for applicants who have completed one or both of their high school/intermediate exams outside Uttar Pradesh but are native to the state and seeking admission to its government medical/dental colleges, universities, or institutions.
- Residents of other states, including Uttar Pradesh, are eligible to apply for admission to private medical and dental institutions in the state.
UP NEET UG counselling 2024: Fee Details
When submitting online applications, candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs 2,000 for the first, second, and third counselling sessions. For the stray vacancy round, candidates need to pay a fresh registration fee of Rs 1,000. Moreover, each college will have its own specific security deposit amount.
- Government medical colleges: Rs 30,000
- Private medical colleges: Rs 2 lakh
- Private dental colleges: Rs 1 lakh
- Both government and private medical colleges: Rs 2 lakh
- Both government and private dental colleges: Rs 1 lakh
