UP School Holiday: In view of the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration ceremony, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that all educational institutions in UP will remain closed on January 22, 2024.

According to the media reports, he has termed this particular event as a 'national festival'. Moreover, the Chief Minister has ordered the shutdown of liquor outlets in the state on the same day.

Ayodhya Ram Temple Inauguration

Preparations for the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple are in full swing, expected to draw thousands of dignitaries and individuals from various societal segments. Vedic rituals preceding the ceremony are set to commence a week before, starting on January 16.

According to the news ageny PTI, the consecration of Ram Lalla in the newly constructed Ayodhya temple is scheduled for 12:20 pm on January 22, as confirmed by Champat Rai, the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be among the dignitaries participating in this momentous ceremony. From January 14 to January 22, Ayodhya will celebrate the Amrit Mahautsav. On January 22, a priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will conduct the ceremony's main rituals.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya on Tuesday ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple. The CM went down at the recently opened Maharshi Valmiki International Airport and offered prayers at the Hanumangarhi Temple and the Ram Mandir's "garbh griha." Meanwhile, Ayodhya's Hanumangarhi Laddu registered on Tuesday for a GI tag.
