UPSC Combined Geo Scientist Prelims 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for the Combined Geo-Scientist (Preliminary) Examination 2023. The official notice is available on the UPSC website, upsc.gov.in. The exam will be held on February 28 at several exam centres, according to the official timetable. The exam is divided into two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 will consist of General Studies from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., while Paper 2 will consist of geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, and chemistry courses from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Both tests will have multiple-choice questions.

The commission will release admission cards for the Geo-Scientist Prelims test one week before the exam. The admission cards will be made accessible on the UPSC's official website, upsc.gov.in. Candidates must go to the official website and download the hall ticket by entering their application number, date of birth, and other information. The admit card URL will be posted on upsc.gov.in. UPSC Combined Geo Scientist Prelims 2024: Exam scheme
The Geo-Scientist Prelims test will be objective in nature. The exam will consist of two papers used to select students for the main exam. The preliminary exam marks will be used to determine the final merit. The exam will be worth 400 points. According to the announcement, candidates will have two hours to complete paper 1 and paper 2.
Candidates should be aware that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for incorrect answers marked by them in objective-type question papers. For each question, there are four possible responses. One-third of the marks allotted to each question for which the candidate provided an incorrect answer would be deducted as a penalty.
