UPSC CSE Mains 2024 DAF-1: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Direct Application Form-1 (DAF 1) for the Civil Services (Mains) Examinations 2024. Candidates who qualified in the Preliminary examinations can apply for the DAF form for the main examination at upsc.gov.in.
Shortlisted candidates will have to reapply using the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, by July 12, 2024, until 6 PM.
The UPSC Main exam is tentatively scheduled to be held from September 20, 2024. The UPSC aims to fill a total of 1,056 vacancies across various central government services and departments, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
"The result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 held on 16.06.2024, has been declared on 01.07.2024. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, which is made available on the website of the Union Public Service Commission (https://upsconline.nic.in) during the period from 03.07.2024 to 12.07.2024 till 6:00 P.M," reads the notification.
All qualified candidates must fill out and submit the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) online for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. Important instructions for completing and submitting the DAF-I are available on the website. Candidates who have been declared successful must first register on the relevant page of the website before filling out the online DAF-I.
Furthermore, the UPSC has stated that any delay in submitting the DAF-I or supporting documents beyond the prescribed date will not be permitted and will result in the cancellation of the candidature for the CSE-2024.

Step 1: Go to the official website-- upsconline.nic.in
Step 2: Click on the link ‘DAF for Various exams of UPSC’ and click on the DAF-I link
Step 3: Candidates will have to login with their required details
Step 4: Fill out the DAF form, upload documents, and submit
