UPSC PRATIBHA Setu Portal: UPSC PRATIBHA Setu stand for (Professional Resource And Talent Integration -Bridge for Hiring Aspirants) is a platform launched by the constituiton body named Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to connect verified employers with highly qualified UPSC aspirants who cleared UPSC Prelims exam but did not make the final merit list.
Formerly known as the Public Disclosure Scheme (PDS), this initiative empowers candidates who qualify in written exams and interviews but fall just short of selection by broadening their employment opportunities. Through a secure, authorised portal, public sector units, autonomous bodies, and private organisations can access candidate profiles, marking a significant shift toward talent utilisation and transparency in recruitment.
UPSC Pratibha Setu Background:
The UPSC Pratibha Setu Scheme is in operation since August 20, 2018 and the Commission (for the first time) disclosed the list of candidates of Combined Medical Services Examination, 2017. However, the nomenclature of PDS has now been renamed as UPSC Pratibha Setu.
List Of UPSC Examinations Covered Under PRATIBHA Setu:
Non-recommended willing candidates of the following Examinations are included under this scheme:
1. Civil Services Examination
2. Indian Forest Service Examination
3. Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination
4. Engineering Services Examination
5. Combined Geo-Scientist Examination
6. C.D.S. Examination
7. Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination
8. Combined Medical Services Examination
Exam Not Covered Under the UPSC PRATIBHA Setu
The candidates from the following list of exams are not eligible under UPSC PRATIBHA Setu:
1. NDA & NA Examination
2. Limited Departmental Exams such as CBI (DSP) LDCE, CISF AC (EXE) LDCE, and S.O./Steno (GE-B/GD-I) LDCE
Importance Of UPSC Pratibha Setu:
This provides platform for Employer to select non-recommended willing candidates who are almost as meritorious to the recommended candidates and provides Second gateway for UPSC aspirants to shine beyond the examination.
UPSC PRATIBHA Setu Portal: How To Register?
1. Go to upsc.gov.in in the browser & click on the “Examination” menu available in the top menu bar.
2. A drop-down menu list will appear. Click on “UPSC PRATIBHA Setu.”
3. Click on “Register” and enter the Corporate Identification Number (CIN) and then on “Verify.”
4. On clicking the “Verify” button, an OTP will be sent to the email ID that is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
5. Enter the OTP as received on the registered email ID in the textbox provided and click on “Submit.”
6. After successful OTP verification, the Nodal Officer Registration screen will open. Enter the details as desired in the form and click on “Submit”.
7. After nodal officer registration, an OTP will be sent to the mobile no. and email ID of the nodal officer, post OTP verification, dashboard will open.
8. The organisation can now access the UPSC PRATIBHA Setu software functionalities.
